AGM
Kilbride GFC held their AGM on the 14th December 2010 last in Kilbride Clubhouse.
Over two hundred players, members, family and friends attended an anniversary celebration and reunion in Dunboyne Castle Hotel on Saturday 13 November 2010 to commemorate the golden jubilee of Kilbride’s victory in the Meath Junior Championship in 1960 and the successful era that followed that victory which include the annexing of the Meath Intermediate Championship in 1962 and Five Meath Senior Championships between 1964 and 1971 including the three in a row 1969 to 1971. The Club had three Feis Cup successes in this period and were runners up in the senior championship in 1965 and 1966.
Among the attendance were Monsignor Dermot Farrell PP Dunboyne, Mr Barney Allen Chairman of the Meath County Board and his wife Liz and Mr Brendan Cummins Central Council Representative Meath County Board.
Brendan Cummins compered the formal part of the evening, which added greatly to the occasion. He recounted going to see Kilbride playing various matches during the club’s golden period giving as a reason the fact that Jack O’Neill who played at corner back on the team delivered Boland’s bread and cream cakes around the Dunsany area. Brendan regaled the crowd with his witty presentation and afterwards presented the players of 1960s and 1970’s to the gathering recounting each player’s contribution and achievements with the club. Barney Allen Chairman of Meath County Board presented mementos of the occasion to the various players or their representatives.
Barney Allen thanked the club for its contribution at County Board level and to the various county teams.
Tommy Mahon responded on behalf of the players.
Chairman David Harford thanked the people for their support of the event and made a special presentation to long serving official Austin Reddin to mark his period as Chairman from 1996 to 2009.
Former player and member Liam O’Farrell presented a cup to the club to honour the club’s honorary presidents. It will know as the Presidents Cup and will be played for in a football competition yet to be decided.
Each attendee received a souvenir booklet of the occasion and all had a very enjoyable evening.

08/12/04 - New Manager Announced
Eamonn Clarke has been confirmed as manager of Kilbride for
the coming season 2005. Eamonn has been a loyal servant for Kilbride
for many years now both on the pitch and off it. Last season
Eamonn took a number of training sessions with a favourable response
from the lads and subsequently decided to throw his hat into
the ring.
Eamonn made some brief cameo appearances since his return from
injury, but there has been no announcement yet about his retirement
from playing !!!

The club AGM has been set for Tuesday 7 December at 8.30 pm
in the clubhouse. All welcome.
20/10/04
After two and a half years at the helm, Kilbride Manager Martin
McCarthy stepped down last night at at a players meeting. Martin
gave great service to the club in this period, and his passion,
enthusiasm and commitment to the cause will always be remembered
by the players, supporters and members of Kilbride.
As captain Brian White pointed out, when Martin took over Kilbride
seemed to be stuck in a cycle of going up from div. 5 and then
going back down. Under Martin, Kilbride became a team that were
always competitive and hard to beat in either the league or championship.
The players will also never forget Martin's gesture of making
a huge contribution to the players weekend fund last year. It
was something that he didn't have to do, but was warmly appreciated.
Kilbride wish to thank Martin for everything and wish him well
in the future. Martin has also stated his desire to remain a
member of Kilbride, and we hope to see him at Kilbride matches
in the future.

The championship draw took place at Walterstown last evening
and was broadcast live on LMFM. Kilbride were drawn in a group
of death with Ratoath, Moynalty, Dunsany, Moynalvey, Ballinabrackey,
O'Mahoneys and Drumbaragh. There are three groups of 8 teams
with the first 2 in each group qualifying for the 1/4 finals,
joined by the best 2 third place teams. It's hard to see even
one tie in the group being easy, with at least 3 teams in the
group tipped to win the JFC. Click here to see the full draw.
